The Baltimore Beer Babes are celebrating American Craft Beer Week with an event at Union Craft Brewing in Baltimore (1700 Union Ave.). Lynn, the first woman brewer at Union Craft Brewing, will be leading the tour in the brewery. After the tour and an explanation about how they brew their beers and a history of Union Craft Brewing, we will taste their line-up of craft beers. Only $10 for members gets you tasters of all of their beers plus a pint of your favorite. We will be unveiling our first Baltimore Beer Babe – brewed beer, Riveter RyePA, a rye pale ale, that we brewed during Big Brew! There will be snacks, including some made with Union beers and Riveter RyePA. Come out and see how delicious our beer is and to celebrate how well craft beer is progressing and why it’s growing at such a high pace in the U.S. Contact Judy at firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a spot. American Craft Beer Week as described by the Brewers Association:
Beer weeks are giving craft beer fans across the U.S. ever-increasing options to enjoy and share the beverage they love. Beer weeks celebrate the culture and community of craft beer, and give breweries and beer businesses the opportunity to connect with the fans. The Brewers Association, the national non-profit association on behalf of the majority of today’s U.S. breweries, and publishers of CraftBeer.com, celebrate the culmination of these events each May with American Craft Beer Week (ACBW). ACBW will be recognized May 12-18, 2014 and offers an exciting opportunity for small and independent craft brewers and the community of better beer retailers to celebrate the ever advancing beer culture here in the U.S. Plus, tens of thousands of today’s beer beginners, beer enthusiasts, and hard core beer geeks make time to toast the week.
