And we need your help. Please complete our brief survey. With the information you provided we’ll be able to plan support and promotion of your chapter and Barley’s Angels around the world.

It’s very short, and will only take a couple of minutes. Here is the link! http://barleysangels.org/chapters-survey-2015/

Jackson Mississippi

Brewhaha Homebrew hosts JXN Barley’s Angels

Jackson MississippiJXN Barley’s Angels

We are heading over to Brewhaha Homebrew Supply for our June meeting to learn more about the process of making beer.

Mac, the owner of BrewHaHa, is such a nice guy and a wealth of knowledge. He will give us a short lesson on what goes into beer and how it’s brewed. So even if you’re not interested in brewing your own, the information presented will help to grow appreciation for the work that is put into each bottle of craft beer.

And of course, no meeting is complete without a sampling. So we will feature 2 pairings of craft beer and gourmet cheese! Capital City Beverages, Inc. will be supplying the beer and creating the pairings.

The store will be open for business for our group. So if you’ve ever been curious about brewing beer or how beer is made, this is the meeting for you! And remember this is a LADIES ONLY event. So bring a friend or come alone. It’s going to be good time! Hope to see everyone there!

Spice it Up with JXN Barley’s Angels

Sombra Mexican KitchenHi ladies! For May’s meeting we are spicing it up and heading over to Sombra Mexican Kitchen in Ridgeland, MS on Tuesday, May 12th 6 – 8pm.

We will have two different craft beers to sample along with food pairings for each one. Capital City Beverages, Inc., will be supplying the beer and Derek Nelson, Craft Beer Manager, will be teaching us all about the selections.

This is an open invite to all ladies that love or want to learn more about craft beer. So come alone or bring a friend. It’s going to be a good time. See y’all then!

Inaugural Book Club Meeting – The Brewer’s Tale

This is truly exciting. As a way to further our mission to educate and inspire women in the ways of beer, we’re launching what we think is the world’s first beer book club for women. For now, we’ll be meeting at The Cloverleaf, in North Jersey, but if there’s enough interest we can start additional chapters or hold roving meetings.

This is very informal, read the book then come hang out, drink beers (PAYGO) and talk about it. Awesome, right?!

For our first book, book club leader Alissa Glavan has selected “The Brewer’s Tale,’ a history of beer, by William Bostwick. You can buy it here: http://www.amazon.com/The-Brewers-Tale-History-According/dp/0393239144

There’s no need to RSVP, just tell your friends, read the book and show up!

When:  Monday March 23rd, 2015 at 7:00 PM

Where:  Cloverleaf Tavern,  395 Bloomfield Ave, Caldwell NJ  07006
