Get a behind-the-scenes tour of the Granite City Brewery in Clive. Our afternoon will start off with a brewer-led beer tasting followed by a tour of the brewery. You’ll also hear about Granite City’s own patented brewing process, known as Fermentus Interruptus(TM). Light appetizers will be provided, and you’ll even receive a free membership to Granite City’s Mug Club that gets you special perks and discounts.

Granite City Food & Brewery commenced operations in St. Cloud, Minn., in June 1999 and has grown to include 36 restaurants in 14 states. The Clive location was the 4th to open in the franchise.

What is a Crafternoon?
The Barley’s Angels Crafternoon Series offers tours and tastings at great Iowa breweries every odd month on a Saturday afternoon. It’s a chance to meet the staff, tour the facility, taste the beer, and meet other area women that love craft beer!

This year’s event will take place Monday May 11, 2015 (6-9 pm). This is a food and beer tasting event, open to the general public (women encouraged, men welcome!). We will be celebrating women in beer: drinking beer, spirit and wine brewed by women, and tasting food created and cooked by women-owned businesses.

We will also share a table with The Pink Boots Society, which is where Barley’s Angels first originated from. How ironic?!

Join the Baltimore Beer Babes in celebrating American Craft Beer Week on Monday, May 11th from 6:30 – 8:30PM at The Brewer’s Art in Baltimore (1106 N. Charles St.). We will feature Belgian inspired beer styles brewed from one of the original craft breweries in Baltimore. Beers will be paired with delicious offerings from their new spring menu. One of the brewers will be on hand and we will discuss their unique American twist on, as well as their respect of tradition for Belgian beer styles and why these beers pair so well with such a range of foods. Winter Black Out at Beermiscuous will take place on Thursday, February 19 from 7-9 p.m. At this event, Barley’s Angels will explore the world of Stouts, Porters, Black IPAs, Black Saisons and more! Beer lovers can join the Angels at the new Lakeview beer café, Beermiscuous, for a night complete with snacks and a guided tasting of all that makes a Chicago winter dark and delicious. Certified Cicerone Austin Harvey from Beermiscuous will be walking guests through the brews, answering questions and raising a glass to Barley’s Angels Chicago!
