Beer for Babes is co-sponsoring New Jersey’s only Coast to Coast Toast, the single largest one-day celebration of Belgian beer culture in the United States this millennium.
Here’s a quick description of Coast to Coast::
“On Thursday, November 14, 2013, the best specialty beer-centric bars, restaurants, and stores across the country will be raising a glass to celebrate Vanberg & DeWulf’s (importer owned by the founders of Brewery Ommegang) birthday and the great state of craft and specialty beer culture in the US of A. On this day the most progressive, idiosyncratic, and wonderful retailers and publicans across the USA join hands, and we salute them (i.e. you!). Italy, France, Iceland, the UK and Belgium – along with some 500 hosts joined us last year.”
We’ll be partnering with Maloney’s in Matawan to tap several very exclusive kegs from Brouwerij Dilewyns, a brewery owned by Belgium’s youngest brewer, who happens to be female (she’s in her early 20s and is very sweet … I met her this summer).
Proceeds from this pay-as-you-go event benefit the scholarship fund for the Pink Boots Society, which helps develop women in the beer industry. This is big.
When: Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013
Where: Maloney’s in Matawan, Home of the largest tap selection on the east coast
119 Main St., Matawan, NJ 07747, (732) 583-4040
