Walnut River Brewing hosts Butler County Barley’s Angels

We will meet the 1st Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm at the Walnut River Brewery Company taproom starting April 6th

Barley’s Angels is a group for women who enjoy craft beer and would like to learn more about different styles of beer, the brewing process, and to try different beers.

Our meetings will include:

  • Try samples of different beers along with a light snack
  • Education on styles of beer, tasting, and the brewing process
  • Guest speakers
  • Getting to know other women who enjoy craft beer and having fun!

Tickets are available for $20.00 each at the Walnut River Brewery Taproom 111 West Locust Ave. in Eldorado.

Barley’s Angels Sacramento Inaugural Event

Jackrabbit Brewing CompanyCome celebrate Sacramento Beer Week by attending Barley’s Angels Sacramento Inaugural Meeting hosted by Jackrabbit Brewing Company. We will meet the beer and other ladies in the community interested in beer appreciation on March 3, 2016 at 6:30pm. Jackrabbit Brewing Company was founded in 2011 and specializes in small-batch German, Belgium, and English style ales. John Prather, Assistant Brewer, will be our guest speaker for the tasting. Ladies of legal age only. Nominal fee for tasters ($10 with a portion being donated to the Pink Boots Society). Beer lovers welcome as well as those who have not found their beer love yet.

Crafternoon at Court Avenue Brewing Company

crafternoonGrab your favorite craft-beer drinking friends and join us in visiting Court Avenue Brewing Company (CABCO) for our last Crafternoon of 2014! All proceeds from this Crafternoon will benefit local charity, AHeinz57 Pet Rescue and Transport.

You’ll get a tour of the brew pub, a tasting of four beer offerings, appetizers and an optional commemorative pint glass! Raffle tickets will be sold for chances to win various prizes from local breweries.

What is a Crafternoon?

The Barley’s Angels Crafternoon Series offers tours and tastings at great Iowa breweries every odd month on a Saturday afternoon. It’s a chance to meet the staff, tour the facility, taste the beer, and meet other area women that love craft beer!

Virginia Craft Beer Society & Barley’s Angels Coastal VA Social

Sunday May 18th from 1:00 to 4:00!!!

This is a casual event, there will be no cost to attend. Please be ready to enjoy some lovely beer on tap and on sale in the beautiful new Back Bay Tasting Room.

This event will be upstairs in the brewery and is officially a “bottleshare”, so find something interesting and tasty and get it chilled:)

Hope to see a ton of Angels out there. I love that we are getting together with another club and getting to know more people in the beer community.

You do not have to be a Barley’s Angels – Coastal Virginia member to come. This may be a great day to stop by and check us out;)

The food element of this event will be provided by YOU! Show off your creative culinary skills with a potluck style offering, a dish prepared with any beer of your choice. Include a recipe, so we may compile them..

Beer for Babes Field Trip

Cape May Brewing & Tuckahoe Brewing

Sun, August 18, 11am – 5pm
Visit both of Cape May County’s breweries: Tuckahoe and Cape May, plus lunch and optional sunset happy hour on the water.

Tuckahoe owner Tim Hanna gives us a private tour and tasting. Then we’ll probably have lunch at Red Sky Cafe — a personal fav — then we continue on to Cape May where the owner/brewer will guide us through the brewery and his beers. Afterward, we’ll sip Cape May’s beers on the deck at Harpoon Henry’s while the sun goes down (this part is optional).

We’ll park at Tuckahoe and carpool to the rest. Please RSVP and tell me whether you want to drive (how many people can you fit?) or ride and whether you want to stay for happy hour. I figure we’ll be done at Cape May by 5pm and finish up at Harpoon Henry’s around 7 (or whenever you’re ready to leave).
